Frequently Asked Questions
C-Radiance Serum-B
We do not recommend layering this with exfoliating acids (Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid), BHAs (Beta Hydroxy) and Retinols. This is because mixing those ingredients can lead to irritation, so we recommend alternating them. We suggest using Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol OR AHAs in the evening. We also do not use this product along copper peptides(or any other product that uses copper in a significant amount) as they run the risk of cancelling each other out when used together.
Same as any other active ingredient it is advisable to patch test before use and introduce the active slowly into your routine to allow your skin to get used to it .It is advisable for beginners to start with the beginner friendly 8% l-ascorbic serum before moving on to the 15% serum .If you find that your skin doesn’t respond well it is better to use less potent vitamin c derivatives.
We would advise you to try the beginner’s version of C radiance serum if you have very sensitive skin .
Upon opening the C radiance serum should be transparent with a slight yellowish tint due to the vitamin E in the formula . Due to the L-Ascorbic acid in the formula, the serum will begin to darken in color over time. Please note that this does not mean the formula has become ineffective. You only need to discontinue usage once the formula has become murky brown . Please refer to the cart in the upper sections for further clarity .
For sensitive skin, we recommend testing azelaic acid on a small area where you have sensitivity (behind your ears or the inside of your arms can be helpful in patch testing too )and seeing how your unique skin type responds. We however request you to test our beginner’s version Porebright serum for this instead of jumping straight to the advanced version.
Yes, Retinaldehyde can help to unclog pores and reduce the appearance of breakouts.
Porebright Serum-B
No, the Porebright serum does not cause photosensitivity.
The active ingredients in the serum are not prone to oxidation. However, the herbal extracts in the formula can change colour over time. This does not affect the safety or effectiveness of the product.
Yes, you can apply the serum around the orbital bone, avoiding the eyelid and lash line. Use caution around the lips and avoid direct contact.
Smart Ageing Complex-B
Azelaic acid works from the first application, with full results visible after 4-12 weeks of consistent daily use. Some difference in acne and clogged pores may be noticeable even sooner.
Yes, you can use azelaic acid every day (up to twice daily) but we would advise you to start slowly and slowly increase the frequency of usage.
You can combine both the products together if your skin is used to very high strength actives and is not extremely sensitive. Otherwise you can either try the beginner’s version of our porebright serum (convert the words into a link to the beginner’s version )or use this serum in your morning skincare routine and the smart ageing complex in your evening skincare routine .
The pale yellow hue is due to the natural color of Retinaldehyde. While a slight tint may be visible upon application, it dissipates quickly. To minimize potential transfer to bedding, allow the serum to fully absorb before sleep.
Our Smart Ageing Complex Retinal Serum is formulated with encpsulated time release retinal, formulated in a base of science backed botanicals. This unique blend ensures potent results with minimal irritation, making it suitable for a wider range of skin types.
Retinaldehyde (Retinal) is a form of Vitamin A that works faster than retinol. It helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin texture, minimize pores, and promote a more youthful complexion.
