Frequently Asked Questions
Characteristics
Upon opening the C radiance serum should be transparent with a slight yellowish tint due to the vitamin E in the formula . Due to the L-Ascorbic acid in the formula, the serum will begin to darken in color over time. Please note that this does not mean the formula has become ineffective. You only need to discontinue usage once the formula has become murky brown . Please refer to the cart in the upper sections for further clarity .
It is normal for C Radiance serum for the face to darken after opening due to air and light exposure. The formula will remain effective. It is recommended to be used within 3-6 months after opening with daily application of a pump of serum to the face, neck.
Yes, our 15% Vitamin C has a very slight yellow tint and light, liquid consistency. However , if the serum turns a darker yellow it means that the pure ascorbic acid in the serum has started oxidizing . It is still fine to use the serum at this point . However, it is best to discard it once it turns brown as this does not negate the safety of the product, however the efficacy might be compromised.
Since there is no fragrance added to this serum, there is a sort of peculiar smell due to the natural scent of ferulic acid and natural Vitamin E within the formula. It dissipates in a minute or 2 after you apply the serum so you don’t need to worry about it lingering.
We would request you to store the serum in the refrigerator .
It should take about 4-8 weeks to see results (depending on the frequency of usage ). However, many users report that they are able to notice a subtle glow after a week or 2 of usage too .
Usage
You can check out how to use and when to use sections on the upper sections of the page .
Yes you can! It is most beneficial during the day due to the antioxidant properties but you can certainly use it in the PM too if you prefer.
We recommend using this once per day, during your AM routine to take advantage of full antioxidant properties. We recommend using a broad spectrum SPF in your AM routine if you are using Vitamin C.
Skin Sensitivity
Despite the common misconception that Vitamin C and niacinamide cannot be used together it is totally fine to use them together granted You can safely layer Niacinamide alongside our 15% Vitamin C radiance serum granted your skin tolerates the combination well.
You can use C radiance serum in your morning skincare routine and the smart ageing complex in your evening skincare routine .
If you would like to use other skin care products on top, wait around 2-3 minutes before using them. This gives the skin cells enough time to respond to the EGF and it won't affect the cell rejuvenation process.
Over the counter tyrosinase inhibitors or vitamins like niacinamide, tranexamic acid, alpha arbutin, kojic acid also help brighten skin. MIXING WITH OTHER PRODUCTS : Avoid using Vitamin C at the same time as Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acid products (Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, AHA, Mandelic Acid) or BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acid). Use Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol OR AHAs/BHAs/PHAs in the evening.
We would advise you to try the beginner’s version of C radiance serum if you have very sensitive skin
Same as any other active ingredient it is advisable to patch test before use and introduce the active slowly into your routine to allow your skin to get used to it .It is advisable for beginners to start with the beginner friendly 8% l-ascorbic serum before moving on to the 15% serum .If you find that your skin doesn’t respond well it is better to use less potent vitamin c derivatives.

This serum absorbs well and feels good on my skin! It was slightly
sticky but not super sticky. When I use serum, it is usually very
smooth. This dried in a few minutes, and I was able to layer on
moisturizer and makeup afterward. It did not irritate my skin at all. Last thought: If you get a new, fully sealed one, enjoy.
This is supplied in an attractive pump bottle, so I thought initially
that it might have the consistency of a cream. But actually it is
a thin clear serum. This page tells us that the Vitamin C
concentration is 15%. (Quite a number of Vitamin C products
don’t specify the concentration of C so I do appreciate it when
the seller provides that information.)
This vitamin C serum feels nice on your face. It's easy to apply.
Just twist the top and the pump will eject out of the top so you
can depress it from there. I like how the neck completely hides
inside of the cap when you want to store it. The quality and the
ingredients convey a good value to me.
The pump is nice and easy to open and close. The serum itself
is very thin and liquid. It doesn't have a particularly pleasant
scent and when my skin is a bit overworked (dermaplane,
tretinoin, dry, etc) it does tingle a bit, but nothing uncomfortable or for long. I think if you have sensitive skin you'd be best looking for this.
